Welcome to Friends of Hackett, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide support to all Hackett students, teachers, staff, and parents in order to maintain a safe and academically engaging environment both in school and within the community. Who we are
We are a group of volunteer community members interested in helping our local elementary school, Horatio B. Hackett School. As a non-profit organization we run fundraisers and community events, and provide support to Hackett as needed. We work closely with Hackett’s principal, teachers, and staff, to ensure our work supports the needs and goals of the school and students. In a typical year, we host a block party to start out the school year and about twenty other events that span the school year and summer. These events range from movie nights to gardening days, from happy hour fundraisers to providing a thank-you meal for teachers and staff.
